Who We Are

Ever since I was a young boy, I have had a curiosity for working with nature. As far back as I can remember, I was always helping my dad with his landscaping projects. Even when I was too little, I would pretend to cut down trees and drive the tractor from the safety of my sandbox. As soon as I got old enough, I was helping dad on jobs, and picking up work of my own, doing anything I could to learn the industry.

In Northeast Philadelphia, I soon became known as the kid on the tractor. It wasn’t long before I figured out that  the art of landscaping was my calling.

After high school, it became clear to me that I wanted to experience new things and venture out of Philadelphia. So, I joined the Marine Corps.

I served a total of eight years (five active, three reserve), and got to experience so much. During active duty, I fixed attack helicopters and supported missions in the War on Terror. Through my experiences, I met incredible, brave men and women who taught me the value of service above self. The camaraderie I developed with them is something I will always cherish.

When I got home, I realized my passion for landscaping never left me. I also realized that I wanted to make a lifelong commitment to giving back to veterans. It was time to open Yard Veteran.

Today, I’m honored to provide every customer with an outdoor space they can enjoy, all while making a difference for our veterans and our planet. It is a dream come true for me to share my passion for the beauty of nature with others, one yard at a time.
